Privacy notice
How we handle your information.

No sale of personal data and no advertising profiles.

01
Who is responsible for your data?
II Sun Limited (Company No. 17087198) is the data controller for this waitlist. Our registered office is 12 To 14 High Street, Chesham, England, HP5 1EP. Questions or rights requests can be sent to support@studybalance.app.
02
What we collect—and how.
We collect the email address you type into a waitlist form, which form location you used, and the date and time you joined. We collect this information directly from you when you press “Join early access”.
Our hosting and security providers may automatically process limited technical information, such as an IP address, browser details and request logs, to deliver and protect the site. Your cookie preference is stored on your device. We do not ask for payment details, university records, grades or a StudyBalance account at this stage.
03
Why we use it.
- Waitlist and product emails: with your consent, to confirm your interest, share occasional development updates and tell you when early access opens.
- Site security and reliability: for our legitimate interests in preventing abuse, diagnosing faults and keeping the waitlist available.
- Legal obligations: where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.
You may withdraw from waitlist emails at any time. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.
04
Who helps us provide the waitlist.
We use carefully selected service providers to host the site and secure requests. New waitlist signups are sent to Loops, which stores the contact details and helps us send waitlist emails. Earlier signup records may remain in our site database. These providers process information under our instructions and appropriate contractual safeguards. We do not sell your personal data or share it for another company’s advertising.
If a provider processes information outside the UK, we use an appropriate transfer mechanism where required, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards.
05
How long we keep it.
We keep your waitlist record while StudyBalance is being developed and while it is reasonably needed to manage invitations and updates. We periodically review the list and delete or anonymise information that is no longer needed. If you ask to be removed, we will delete your active waitlist record unless a limited record is needed to honour an opt-out or meet a legal obligation.
06
Your data rights.
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your data, object to certain processing, and receive portable data. You can also withdraw consent and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
To exercise a right, email support@studybalance.app. We may need to verify that the request relates to your email address.
07
Students and age-appropriate design.
The waitlist is aimed at university students and does not intentionally collect sensitive study records. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before joining. We do not profile minors for advertising.
08
Cookies and changes.
Our Cookie Policy explains browser storage and how to change your choice. If this waitlist begins collecting materially different information, we will update this notice before using your data for the new purpose.
